Your city and neighbourhood is where you belong, but it doesn't always feel that way, does it? Especially when buildings and places around you change, and you don't understand why. Urban Planning is what guides these changes, and it's a system YOU (someone who lives, works or socialises in an area) should be involved in. So, this session’s going to help make sure you are!
It’ll include:
- An introduction to the English planning system (and why you should care) plus a Q&A
- An opportunity to see how your contribution could shape your area
-'How to get involved' goodies

Facilities at Melanin H&W Community Centre
Toilets:
The Community Centre is on one floor, therefore both standard toilets and accessible toilets are step free, along with baby changing facilities.
Seating:
There is a variety of seating options across The Melanin H&W Community Centre. In the cafe area, there will be standard cushioned chairs and low chairs.
Refreshments:
Both cold and hot water taps are located in the cafe space. These are available free of charge. There will also be Tea and Coffee available.
Assistance dogs:
We welcome guide dogs, hearing dogs and assistance dogs in the gallery. Please keep any dogs on leads.
