Making Space for Women is more than an event series - it’s a growing community shaping a more equitable built environment.
Co-created by WeAreWaterloo BID and Build Studios, it brings together women and allies across the sector to connect, inspire, collaborate, and contribute. 'Illuminating Safety' explores how safe, creative lighting can support a thriving night-time economy. From tunnels to viaducts, we’ll examine how thoughtful, layered and imaginative lighting can improve visibility, and transform overlooked routes into welcoming, vibrant public spaces.
