A lot is changing in post-16 education, in how this generation consume information, and in the world of work and academia that young people are transitioning into, yet sixth-form centres are failing to keep step.
The panel discussion, including architects, educators, and school leaders, will ask why this transitional, life-shaping phase of education, is so often housed in outdated, uninspiring buildings, and what more can be done to create inclusive learning environments that don’t just extend classroom learning, but unlock young people’s future potential. Topics will include designing for accessibility, neurodiversity, socioeconomic and cultural diversity, independent study and collaborative working.
