Successive generations have remade Colindale and Edgware. Woods swapped for fields, tracks laid for steam trains and hedges traded for the Hendon Aerodrome, housing estates built.
The result, a green memory quilt, made from left over pre-suburban and new fabric, a patchwork of rich stories belonging to all.
Perfect for those who want to hear the history of their local area. Hugh Petrie MA, the Heritage Development Officer for Barnet Libraries Local Studies, will tell the stories of each piece of the green patchwork.
The walk is approximately 2 hours, ending at Colindale Library for a light lunch.

Colindale library is an open plan library conveniently located on the ground floor of the Colindale campus of Barnet and Southgate College and next to the Council offices building.
