What does your name mean to you? Join us for a making workshop exploring the theme of belonging through stories, and personal reflection.
Participants will learn simple textile techniques and will be invited to explore the meanings and origins of their own names, sharing (only if you want!) how our names carry history, culture, and identity. We will also reflect on the ideas of belonging adding to our ‘Pearly Sari’, which connected the textile traditions of London’s Pearly Kings and Queens and the Bengali community, combining Nakshi Kantha embroidery techniques with pearl button designs.
