This walk around Somers Town, a densely residential area squeezed between two railway stations, combines insights into a rich social history of migration and movements with an alertness to contested spaces, barriers, borders, exclusion and inclusion zones as they have manifested historically and in the present. What quarters exist within and beyond the Knowledge Quarter? What other demarcations of belonging might be observed?
