Inspired by the London Festival of Architecture theme Belonging, this drop‑in hand‑sewing workshop celebrates the secret lives of London’s wildlife and the ways they share our city. We will begin by imagining how parks, rooftops, gardens and windowsills become tiny sanctuaries for birds, insects and urban creatures, and how these encounters weave joy and connection into everyday life. Using felt, embroidery and found materials, participants will craft colourful animals, flowers and cityscape details that come together as a collaborative textile artwork, perhaps a garland, wreath or wall hanging. Participants can also stitch their own small keepsake.
