Starting outside the 68 Erith Hub, the 45 minute walking tour will loop around the Town Centre, Riverside Gardens and Erith Pier exploring the interrelationships between the river Thames, the built environment of the area and its communities, throughout generations. The tour will be led by Ilinca Diaconescu, an urban planner with a background in working with communities, who is interested in the effects of urban regeneration initiatives on everyday lives. The walk will invite participants to reflect on experiences of living, working and playing by the river and how places can nurture a sense of belonging, openness and solidarity.
