A new neighbourhood is taking shape in Barking!
On Saturday 13 June, Thames Road & Crossness Road will be closed to traffic and transformed for a free, family-friendly street party celebrating the people, cultures and communities of Barking & Dagenham and unpacking what it means to belong to the area.
The event will feature a shared long-table experience, live performances, music, workshops, and a chance to explore parts of the area that are usually off-limits!
At the heart of the day will be a long lunch table running through the middle of Crossness Road: everyone is invited to bring their own food or buy lunch from AMEN BBQ, with drinks supplied by Mehra.
The day will also include entertainment and activity including:
- Music from Eutopia DJs
- Film screenings from Create London and the Women’s Museum
- Guided tours including access to spaces not usually open to the public, including Eutopia Warehouse, Wharf Studios and Industria
- And much more!
