A co-ideation workshop will bring together students and built environment experts to explore how spaces shape identity, connection, and community.

College and university students
University of Westminster, Perkins&Will and Portland will facilitate a 2.5-hour workshop at Zone29 to reflect on the responsibility that built environment professionals have in creating spaces that connect, inspire, and bring people together. Using 7 provocations, participants will be split into groups and invited to participate in interactive activities designed to prompt them to step outside silos and consider how places influence social, emotional, and cultural outcomes.
Open to built environment professionals, students, and those interested in architecture, design, and city-making, participants will co-create a manifesto for the future of the built environment and their role in shaping belonging.

Attendees should report to the Reception area on the Ground Floor of Zone 29, where the organisers will collect attendees.

Accessibility played a key role in Zone29 redevelopment plans, with each floor fully accessible through a new lift. We’ve also introduced level access from Marylebone Road. More information on how to access and navigate the building will be published when it officially opens in April.
