What places, practices and resources support local life in North Woolwich? Come help us map them!
The Resilient Map invites people who live, work, or spend time in North Woolwich to contribute to a shared living map. Through workshops and a live mapping period, participants will use Cartogrammm, a new digital mapping platform developed at the University of East London, to record place-based local knowledge.
The aim is to make visible what matters locally, through the experience of the people who know the area best.
Workshops are free and open to anyone. No experience is needed; just bring a mobile-phone.

THE RESILIENT MAP - LAUNCH
Workshop One: Collective Mapping
Saturday, 20 June (3:00 PM – 5:00 PM)
At the first workshop, participants will be introduced to the project and the digital mapping platform. Together, we will discuss what local resilience means in North Woolwich and begin mapping places, resources and experiences.
MAPPING PERIOD
From 20th of June to 04th of July
After the first workshop, participants will be able to continue contributing to the map during a two-week period. This mapping period is designed to happen as part of everyday life, rather than a separate activity. Participants can add entries while walking through North Woolwich, going to work or school, using community spaces, or simply moving through the area as they normally would.
