Travel back almost 2,000 years and discover the hidden world of Roman Londinium under the busy streets of today. On this guided walk, you’ll explore ancient walls, lost amphitheatres, and archaeological finds that show how the Romans built the City’s foundations.
This walk invites you to look beyond the modern city and into the past, where imagination brings ancient streets, walls, and lives back into view and insights into what it means to belong to the City of the past are revealed. With stories as your guide, the Roman City emerges once more beneath your feet.

You can wait outside the entrance to the City Information Centre by the benches. I will arrive 15 minutes early and will wear a green lanyard with my photo and name.

Level access, with some step(s)
One stop requires navigating a few steps, and another is difficult to access due to a narrow pavement and an unpaved path, both of which pose challenges for wheelchairs. If needed, we can omit these two stops and spend more time at other locations.
Please note that this is an ambitious walk. Those who are not comfortable with a reasonably brisk pace may not find it as enjoyable.
