‘Belonging(s) Beyond Borders’ engages diaspora artists who encountered displacement or migration from their homelands through versatile expressions of cultural identity and belonging.

Emerging from countries such as Palestine, Sudan, Syria, and Yemen, our contributors are united by a shared desire to belong from afar in London’s multicultural landscape. Their media range from architectural drawings and renders to models, paintings, and collective object displays. Drawing on oral histories, archives, and personal items, the exhibition reimagines lost spaces and rituals that evoke belonging beyond borders.
