Join City of London Corporation and Cheapside Business Alliance at the launch of the If Stone Could Speak programme, celebrating the new accessible seating by St Paul’s Cathedral, as part of From the Thames to Eternity project.
CSK Architects, UCL, and industry experts provoke discussion around material lifespan, cultural heritage, and re-use of stone in a more sustainable built environment.
The PechaKucha-style event explores the journey of stone from geological character, extraction in the quarry, sculpting in the workshop, structural use in architecture, and its potential to be reused and contribute to many building life cycles in the future.
