Join URBAN LEARNERS and guests to explore the City as an ever-evolving place where every layer of history, from Roman foundations to contemporary space, is ‘written in stone’.
As part of the Cheapside Business Alliance and City of London Corporation ‘If Stone Could Speak’ programme, the expert panel will consider how our City is ever-evolving and never finished.
Reminding us of our past and providing a universal sense of belonging, we’ll consider how the City’s stones are crafted from the earth, shaped by human hands, laid into walls and streets, worn smooth by time, and returned, to serve new generations.

Temple Bar is accessed from 2 Paternoster Sq. We need to confirm access arrangements (ie ring door bell, access 1st floor via lift and stairs etc) Please note there will be a pre talk 'If Stone Could Speak' tour for the audience to attend should they wish. Starting point for this will St Paul's Churchyard, next to the From the Thames to Eternity installation (granite benches) closest to Temple Bar.
