Bow Arts presents a community exhibition at the iconic, brutalist Lakeside Centre.
Residents and visitors are invited to sit and enjoy a welcoming place to connect, reflect and celebrate Thamesmead’s stories. The building's rooftop media space will be transformed into a cosy, living room-style space with seating and rugs, where people can sit and appreciate a new community creation: a large, colourful hanging textile that features objects from the homes of local residents, inspired by Asafo flags.
This exhibition is part of a wider programme of events and workshops run by Bow Arts over the week.

The Lakeside Centre has step-free access throughout from street level, with access via the lifts to upper floor studios and the exhibition space. Accessible toilets are available on the ground floor and first floor, with baby change facilities available via Thamesmead Social cafe. This venue does not have a hearing loop system.
