Walk in the footsteps of women who claimed London’s streets in protest, celebration and political action. This guided walk through Westminster uncovers the stories of women who challenged power and fought to belong in public life.
Along the route, we explore the history of the suffrage movement and the many ways women exercised influence in spaces where they were often excluded. While looking at the city’s monuments that honour them we will also ask how women’s contributions are written out of history.
Walk together to share stories, reveal hidden histories, and imprint our footsteps on London’s public spaces.

The starting point is near a memorial on a traffic island on the main road. Please cross the road carefully and look out for cars and traffic.

This is an outdoor activity. Where possible, we try to avoid steps and access public toilets. The walk is at a leisurely pace and there are some opportunities to sit along the way.
