Co-founder of IF_DO and IF/ Design Labs

Thomas Bryans is co-founder of IF_DO and IF/ Design Labs, and a committee member of Architecture LGBT+. His work explores how architecture can strengthen communities and spark civic imagination. He has a longstanding connection to the LFA, including with projects such the first Dulwich Pavilion in 2017.

“Belonging is something that is experienced, nurtured, and negotiated in place. It is different for all of us. This selection explores the everyday spaces that shape belonging for diverse communities across London: from kitchens and pubs to housing estates and neighbourhood streets. Through acts of collective and individual storytelling, they reveal the social infrastructures that shape the city, and ask who they are for. ”
