The BBC helped shape a sense of belonging that extended beyond the geography of its former home at Alexandra Palace, connecting living rooms across the nation through single, shared moments.
Join Alexandra Palace’s volunteer run tours for rare glimpses into the semi derelict spaces and hear adventurous, often madcap stories about the “community of pioneers” who raced to advance the technology that transformed the twentieth century.
Visitors will also learn about plans for reimagining the BBC Wing as a Creative Campus, combining commercial use, training, skills development and creative engagement opportunities for the people of Haringey and beyond.

We regret that due to access issues, the tours are not wheelchair, pushchair or pram accessible.
Visitors to wear closed toe footwear (anyone wearing open toe footwear will be refused entry). Various uneven surfaces. Not accessible for those with walking difficulties - several flights of stairs on the tour route.
