Join a special guided tour led by Kew’s expert horticulturists alongside the environmental architects of the Carbon Garden Pavilion, Mizzi Studio. Beginning with a walk through Kew’s beautiful landscapes, you’ll arrive at the Carbon Garden and Pavilion, where the team will share the inspiration behind the pioneering educational garden, explain how the biomorphic pavilion structure of flax, timber and stone was designed and built, and reveal the thinking behind the garden’s climate-resilient planting scheme. Learn how the garden explores the role plants play in capturing and storing carbon, and how regenerative design can deepen our connection to the natural world. Complimentary tickets are limited to 30 participants and advance booking is required.

Kew Gardens Station (District and London Overground) – 5 minutes walk. Exit the station and walk along Lichfield Road. Turn left onto Kew Green. Elizabeth Gate is directly opposite the green. Kew Bridge Station (South West Trains) – 18 minute walk Kew Bridge station is 800m from Elizabeth Gate, via Kew Bridge. South West Trains run services from Waterloo, via Vauxhall and Clapham Junction. There is no level access at Kew Bridge. Exit Kew Bridge Station onto Kew Bridge Road (A205). Walk east towards Kew Bridge and cross the bridge over the River Thames. Continue straight onto Kew Road (A307). After about 6–7 minutes, turn left onto Kew Green. Walk across the green — Elizabeth Gate is located along the edge of the green. Bus Routes 65, 110, 237, 267 stop along Kew Road, close to Elizabeth Gate.
